Hoelang blijft de lippigmentatie?

The healing process is as follows:

• Immediately after the treatment the lips are swollen (also because of the anesthesia), the color will be very dark at first.
• After a few days, the lip begins to recover. It is important to apply plenty of petroleum jelly during this period, this way you reduce the chance of peeling.
• As with eyebrows, after 2 weeks you will think the color is almost completely gone. Give your skin time for the pigment to come through. After about 3 weeks, the color and shape will be more visible.

What should you consider just before your treatment?

• Not taking blood thinners
• No drinking alcohol, coffee, no smoking
• If you have cold sores then you do need to take Aciclovir (800 mg per day by doctor's prescription) 4 days before your treatment until 4 days after.

What after your treatment?

• Immediately after your treatment, do not smoke, do not drink hot beverages and drink with a straw
• 1 week of not applying makeup to lips
• Lubricate well with petroleum jelly and Terramycin ointment
• No tanning bed/sun for 2 weeks
• No intense sports for 3 days

When do you not get treatment?

• If you are pregnant. Big congratulations but we'd rather see you with your baby out of your belly than in it!
• When using Roaccutane, permanent makeup should not be applied, and only 6 months after you stop can you come in for treatment.

Do I need to visit in advance or can everything be discussed and applied the day itself?

There is no need to stop by in advance, unless you prefer to meet with us first , you are welcome 🙂 .

Right before the treatment, we will draw everything out and choose together the lip tones that best suit you.
