What are Bambi Eyes?

Bambi Eyes also known by the terms Deepliner or Infra Liner. It is a semi permanent eye makeup technique, where pigments are applied between the upper lash line. It gives a very natural result and really lets your eyes speak!

How does a Bambi Eyes treatment proceed?

Who is a Bambi Eyes treatment suitable for?

  • For people who want to accentuate their eyes, but rather like a natural-looking look.

Please note: NEVER book a PMU treatment when you are pregnant or taking Roaccutane!

If you are taking Roaccutane, you must have already stopped for 6 months before scheduling a PMU treatment.

Aftercare Bambi Eyes

Immediately after treatment

  • Do not touch eyes without first washing/disinfecting hands
  • The first hour after the treatment: dab the eyes every 15 minutes with a clammy cotton ball (are in your goodie bag)
  • After 4 hours, wash out eyeliner with cleansing gel or micellar water, then pat dry well
  • Tonight apply Terramycin eye ointment with a cotton swab and massage well (not dry and not greasy)
  • If you suffer from swelling you may use an ice pack

As of tomorrow

  • Do not fiddle with any scabs or skins
  • 2 days of no exercise (sweat is not good for pigment encapsulation)
  • Apply Terramycin ointment morning and afternoon for 5 days with a cotton swab. Apply very delicately, liner should not "wake up"
  • 1 week no sauna, steam bath, pool
  • 1 week of no makeup on the eyes (especially no mascara!)
  • 2 weeks no tanning bed/sun
  • Showering is allowed, be careful not to get the eyes too wet! Dab dry!

Frequently asked questions about Bambi Eyes

What will I look like after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, the color intensity will be up to 2 times darker than the desired result. This is partly due to the slight swelling and partly due to the presence of pigment on the epidermis. This will remain for about 3 days to 1 week.

Can I wear makeup after the treatment?

Immediately after the treatment, it is better not to wear makeup in order to achieve proper wound healing.

How quickly will it heal?

The superficial skin layers will heal within 3 days. The deeper layers between 10 and 14 days. The pigment must be encapsulated by the macrophages of the body this process takes time, hence a follow-up appointment will always take place between 4 and 6 weeks.

How does the post-treatment process work?

In view of the pigmentation process, you will be given an ointment to apply 4 times a day for 4 days. After 3 days a film or scab will form over the pigmentation area (do not pull it off, it will fall off by itself). Peeling off crusts or films will result in pigment loss. The first 7 days at the treatment site avoid make-up, soap, water and rubbing in the eyes. After 1 week it may seem that the pigment is greatly weakened, this is a normal process only after the third week you will really see the result of the pigmentation.

What should I consider after treatment?

Can I get an MRI scan after treatment?

Please notify your treating physician about your Semi-PMU before having your MRI. It is important for the doctor to know where and when you underwent the Semi-PMU. Semi-PMU will not prevent you from undergoing your MRI scan.

Will the color be dark?

Be prepared that after pigmentation, the color is going to be up to 2x darker than the final result. This will fade and lighten as the skin will heal. This will take about 10 days.

Are my eyes swollen and can I still drive the car?

A slight swelling may occur (similar to if you had cried) but in most cases the swelling is almost not visible. You can certainly drive a car and you may also return to work immediately.

Can I wear contact lenses after treatment?

Immediately after the treatment it is better to wear your glasses, the day after you can wear your lenses again. During Eyeliner placement, however, contact lenses must be removed.

Does the treatment hurt?

Thanks to the extremely fine needles and the latest equipment on the market, this treatment is very comfortable. A strong anesthetic ointment will be applied to the treatment area for 10 minutes to provide you with the necessary comfort. There is absolutely no need to be afraid of pain. Not with these techniques! Eyebrow treatment feels like tweezing. Eye-liner can at most be a bit irritating to the eyes towards the end of the treatment. Lips are experienced as a comfortable treatment.

How long will the treatment take?

You should count on 1.5 hours per treatment. This covers the anesthesia time, design placement and the pigmentation itself.

How many weeks are there between the first and second treatment?

Often one treatment is sufficient. We leave 6 weeks between the treatment and any touch-up because then optimal wound healing has taken place. Sometimes it looks like the pigment is gone (after 1 week) this will reappear in the third week.

Does eyeliner treatment hurt?

Thanks to the numbing ointment, you can undergo the treatment comfortably. We can also work with protective eye shields so that you do not have to be afraid of getting closer to the needle. This is especially recommended for pigmentation of the lower eyelid and people who have very fast tears.

Will my eyes swell after eyeliner treatment?

Swelling is quite minimal and it may occur up to 24h after treatment. At home, you may always put Ice-pacs to counteract and reduce swelling.

Should someone carry me home after the eye-liner treatment?

After treatment, your eyes may start to water more than normal and this can be difficult to drive home. If you have both bottom and top done together it may be appropriate to have someone drive you home.

What do I best do before the eyeliner treatment?

Can I keep my makeup on right before the treatment? Yes, absolutely we like to see your style and color of eye-liner. This way we have an idea of how you wear your makeup. I want to color my eyelashes: at least 1 week before treatment or 6 weeks after treatment this may take place.

Vanaf wanneer mag ik mijn pmu / tattoo laten weglaseren als ik niet tevreden ben van het resultaat?

If you are not satisfied with your new tattoo or PMU, you may only have it lasered away after 4 to 6 months
