Immediately after treatment of eye wrinkles, sometimes nothing can be seen. Sometimes there are bruises, redness or small nodules, which can look like tiny mosquito bites and usually resolve fairly quickly. Most people can get off work during their lunch break and return to work without their colleagues noticing anything. The effect will not appear for 4 to 10 days.

When the patient arrives, numbing ointment is applied to the treatment site. This ointment will take effect for 15-30 min. Then the skin will be disinfected. The practitioner will do some test shots first, to see to what energy is tolerable for the patient. Keep in mind, the higher the energy, the better the result!

Any skin on the face and body can be treated. The most popular areas are the face, neck and décolleté.

After the treatment, you may look red and swollen. This lasts for at least 3 hours and then subsides. The clear microchannels created by the treatment remain open for 4-6 hours. It is important that you apply an antibiotic cream after the treatment to avoid infection. You can choose a very intensive treatment or a less intensive treatment. The results are obviously better with the intensive treatment. It is a little more sensitive and the skin will be a little redder, BUT the results are all the better 🙂 .

Fractional RF patients often describe a glow on their skin from day one, but after 2 weeks they really begin to see the results. This will only increase over the next 3 months as collagen and elastin stimulation takes place!

It is best to wait until at least 1 day after the laser session to shave again. The day itself the skin may be a bit red and sensitive. You should only shave and never wax. Because by waxing you soften the hair and cause the hair follicle to shrivel, making it harder for the laser energy to "burn" this hair follicle enough so that it can no longer produce hair.

No definitely not! Please wait at least 1 day. Once any redness or sensitivity is gone, you may use deodorant again.

We need at least 1 mm of hair length to properly transmit the energy of the laser through the hair to the hair follicle. Your hair is actually the controughor of the energy, so we do need a hair, otherwise it doesn't make much sense!

Shave!!! Just shave. As you shave the hairs, they become slightly thicker and stiffer. This gives us more volume to focus our energy from the laser on. That way we can transmit a lot of energy so the hair follicle burns. That is also the reason why you have faster results on the armpits and bikini than e.g. on your legs, where you often need more sessions or see results less quickly. The rule is the thicker, darker and coarser the hair, the faster you will have results. This is because you can transfer a lot of energy to the hair follicle and it will be completely burned. Sounds more painful than it is you know 🙂

Pain, of course, is subjective and different for everyone. Certain areas are more sensitive than others, such as the bikini or beard area in men. You should feel a slight tingle because then you also know that the hair follicle has been "burned." The first sessions are described as the most sensitive because you still have a lot of hair follicles. Because of this, you will still feel a lot of tingling. As more hair follicles are eliminated, you will feel less pain/stimulation.

On average, this is between 4 and 8 weeks. As you move toward the end of your sessions, more time can be left in between. The golden rule is "come back only when your hair is fully growing." Because we are then in the active hair phase, it is only in this phase that you can permanently eliminate the hair follicles. This also means keeping an eye on your own hair cycle so that you can work very efficiently during a session. Otherwise, you will do a session that will have little effect.

Because hairs grow in different growth phases and we can only eliminate permanent hair follicles in 1 phase. Namely, the active growth phase. A hair has 3 different phases, and each hair is in a separate phase. Fortunately, otherwise we would e.g. be bald for one period, and then have lots of hair for a period! Only in this growth phase can we permanently remove hair. All other phases are there for the taking. Because we don't know which hair is in which phase, so you have to come back every so often, until there are almost no hairs left.

Because hair growth and hair cycles are sensitive to hormonal fluctuations, it is not recommended to do sessions during this period. For example, you may need additional sessions, or the laser may not work efficiently enough. Because we only want to work efficiently with good results we strongly advise against laser treatment during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

After your laser hair removal, it would not be wise to go swimming or really sunbathe immediately. The skin may be a little sensitive afterwards and sometimes look a little red. We recommend staying out of the sun or not swimming for at least 1 week anyway. Of course you can do laser hair removal in the summer, but not in places where you are exposed to the sun or just before a sun vacation.

On average you should count between 3 to 8 sessions then you will be about 90% hair free. This means that you will NEVER be 100% hair free! Occasionally a hair follicle that has not been reached but has not produced a hair for years, for example, will suddenly produce a hair. We recommend a yearly follow up session.

You may certainly do definitive laser sessions during the summer. Just keep in mind that you should not literally lie in the sun a few weeks before the laser session until 1 week after the laser session.

Our laser hair removal is done partly by a nurse, or by someone who has received special training in permanent laser treatment. Not only the quality of your device is very important but also the settings and skill of the laser specialist! Red and blonde hairs are very difficult to not be permanently removed with the laser. A better solution for these types of hairs is permanent electrolysis hair removal. In electrolysis hair removal, one will "burn" hair by hair, through a fine needle. Unlike the laser, which only gets to the follicle with laser energy thanks to the color pigment of the hair. Color pigment in red or blond hair is missing, so the laser cannot transmit its energy through the hair, and one will bring the energy to the hair root through a needle. This is a very time-consuming process and is also more painful than permanent laser hair removal. But you will be truly permanently rid of your blonde or reddish hair 🙂 🙂 .

No, never laser on a tattoo! You have to count that a laser is blind, and focuses its energy on pigment/color. Hence the importance of tinted hair, and preferably a slightly paler skin than the hair, so that there is sufficient contrast. So the laser does not know it is a tattoo. It sees dark pigment, and it wants to energize that. The result is a superficial burn on the tattoo, as well as loss of color from your tattoo.

First of all, it is important that you have a real laser because laser is a beam of light/energy and therefore has a super focus. IPL is more broad-spectrum light, so it targets at different levels and therefore does not get as much energy in 1 particular place. Namely where the hair follicle is located, hence with IPL you also need multiple sessions. Our laser is the best because it delivers energy at 3 different depths. These depths have also been scientifically described as being the most efficient for hair removal. The treated area itself should be kept out of the sun for at least 1 week, otherwise you have a chance of pigmentation disorders in the skin.

Some peels work slightly more superficially than others, so depending on the desired result, the specialist will determine the desired depth.

Very superficial = (superficial stratum corneum) Increases the uniformity of skin tone and provides a more "luminous" appearance. Will only benefit the éclat. Depending on the depth of the peel, we recommend a maximum of 3 peels per year. At Sarasin Clinic we only work with the medical peels (they have a low PH value) so it is not allowed to use them too much. We therefore also do not allow more than 3 medical peels per year. Of course, it remains important to continue to stimulate the skin to divide and produce collagen and elastin. Once this stimulation is lost, the result will again visibly diminish. The sustainability of the treatment begins even before you undergo the treatment itself by starting a course of collagen supplements. It is mandatory to take a collagen supplement for up to six months after treatment. This supplement is available from us. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Cryolipolysis. The pulling suction on the skin and freezing temperatures of about -11°C can make the treatment quite uncomfortable. Clients can also expect to feel a localized pain after their fat freezing treatment, similar to that of a mild muscle injury or intense workout.

Fat freezing is a non-invasive therapy that helps remove unwanted fat cells under the skin. Cryotechnology is the controlled application of low-temperature (vacuum-assisted) cooling to a specific target location for a specified time, causing fat cells to break up/crystallize. Fat freezing works by sucking the skin into a vacuum cup to crystallize the underlying fat cells. Depending on the targeted area, each procedure can take from 35 minutes to an hour. Although the treated region initially feels very cold and numb, the discomfort is believed to be mild. Among semi permanent makeup treatments, permanent eyeliner is the most sensitive treatment. We work with a strong surgical anesthetic ointment so most people experience this treatment as simply uncomfortable, but usually not painful. Still, pain sensitivity is experienced differently by everyone. We generally hear "I expected worse".

On average our liners last 3 to 5 years, the liner will lose more and more intensity as it ages. It is best to have it reapplied every 4 years so that the color remains nice in intensity.

Placing the eyeliner itself goes pretty smoothly because we really specialize in this. Expect the placement itself to take about 15 min per eye. You will be in the practice for about 1.5 h because we take the time to discuss and draw everything out first. After the treatment you will go to the relaxation room where you will get a coldpack on your eyes and all aftercare will be clearly explained to you.

Soft lenses may be retained during treatment for permanent eyeliner. Hard lenses should be removed just before treatment, but may be inserted immediately after back in.

Immediately after placing the permanent eyeliner, you will have minimal swelling of the liner itself and your eyelids will look a little red. This will be gone by evening or the day after. You can compare the swelling to as if you have had a good cry.

The first week you should definitely not swim (unless with your head above water) or sunbathe. You may shower but be careful not to get the eyeliner too wet! Also keep in mind that swimming (underwater) and sunbathing will cause your color to fade faster in the future.

In the past, tattoo inks were often used. This was especially true in the 1990s, when with the famous black stripe eyebrows and blue/gray eyeliners without a nice model. The swelling will be mostly gone the day after, however, you will have to wait a little longer for the results. The lips need more time to heal. After 1 week it will look like a lot of color has disappeared, only to reappear at week 3. You will only see the real result after 4 weeks.

With the lip treatment, a Touch-Up is recommended because lips take up color more difficult than e.g. eyes and eyebrows.

The final result will stay for an average of 3 years.

Immediately after the treatment, the color intensity will be up to 2 times darker than the desired result. This is partly due to the slight swelling and partly due to the presence of pigment on the epidermis. This will remain for about 3 days to 1 week.

Immediately after the treatment, it is better not to wear makeup in order to achieve proper wound healing.

The superficial skin layers will heal within 3 days. The deeper layers between 10 and 14 days. The pigment must be encapsulated by the macrophages of the body this process takes time, hence a follow-up appointment will always take place between 4 and 6 weeks.

In view of the pigmentation process, you will be given an ointment to apply 4 times a day for 4 days.
